When I first heard this statement it made an impression on me but I left it at that.
Coming back to this concept over the months has made me realise that this must be one of the most important things any of us can do to make us better in all respects.
How many of us say we understand the sentiment behind this idea yet do nothing about it. We end up being way to busy to look after ourselves this serously.
How many people do you see around you that have a job and are so absorbed that the job comes first and if there is any time left over they will think about spoiling themselves with this or that.
What if we turned things around and said that if we are not operating optimally then how on earth can we help others when we ourselves are not in a condition to help ourselves let alone others.
This is so important ‘Work harder on yourself than you do on your job’ and believe me, if you follow this maxim by Jim Rohn, business philosopher, your job has just got so much better.
Just what you always wanted.
